Thai Mango

Mango Thai is an aromatic Lao-Thai land-race strain with extremely high potency. It is more often found in Vientiane Province, central Laos, but also crops up in Isan in north-eastern Thailand. These two provinces lie on either side of the Mekong River and are associated culturally, economically and linguistically.

Plants grow to between 200 - 400 cm. tall and are ready for harvest towards the end of December or early January in the northern hemisphere. Due to its size it is not recommended for indoor cultivation although it can be grown successfully in a greenhouse. Two pheno-types are produced; the first is fruity with strong mango and papaya scents while the second is earthier with tobacco, leather, spice and musky notes. The former type is light green while the second is somewhat darker, a property which is enhanced by curing. Plants have long, thin leaves typical of cannabis sativa land-races.

The plants which produced these seeds were grown at latitude 18° north in Vientiane Province, Laos, from seeds supplied by Thai ganja smugglers, and were not heavily seeded. They are from the harvest of January, 2020.

The smoke is thick, rich and smooth and joints become coated with oil as they burn down.

Mango Thai is an ideal strain for both budding breeders and collectors.
